This is a practical, skills-based program MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways delivered right here at Major Training in Yatala and funded by the Department of Trade, Employment and Training,.
We’ve partnered with OSMAC Group, one of Queensland’s top apprenticeship networks, to give you real-world experience, mentoring, and a direct line to apprenticeship opportunities.
Program Schedule
- Major Training Delivery: 12–16 January
- Major Training Delivery: 19–23 January
- Work Experience: 26–30 January
- Major Training Delivery: 2–6 February
Yatala’s Pathway to an Engineering Apprenticeship
- ✅ Hands-on Learning: Get real trade experience across all streams of engineering.
- ✅ 1 Week of Work Experience: Build connections with real employers on-site.
- ✅ Employer Access: Get a foot in the door with OSMAC’s network of employers ready to hire.
- ✅ Personal Mentoring: Get guidance and support from a dedicated OSMAC Care Manager.
- ✅ Job Opportunities: Be first in line for future apprenticeships (subject to pre-screening).
Course Details
- Fees: $300 (Concessional) – $25 per unit| $420 (Non-Concessional) – $35 per unit
- Location: Major Training, Yatala
- Duration: 5 weeks (including 1 week of work experience)

This program will give you the head start you need. You’ll just need to meet the eligibility criteria for the Career Start – General Training Pathway.
Co-contribution fees are payable upon completion of each unit of competency. Major Training Group cannot request or demand more than 30% of the total co-contribution fee upfront (in line with SAS program requirements).
