Our motorcycle mechanic apprenticeship will equip you with the necessary skills to service and repair various mechanical components of motor vehicles, including motorcycle engine management systems, transmissions, and suspension systems.
You’ll learn to identify faults through effective communication with vehicle owners, conduct diagnostic procedures, and efficiently service and repair automotive systems such as cooling, fuel, air conditioning, emission control, clutches, transmissions, brakes, final drives, and steering.

This nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification is designed to turn passion into trade-qualified expertise. It’s delivered through a combination of structured training and on-the-job experience with an employer. During your motorcycle mechanic apprenticeship, you’ll train in a variety of skills that are essential in an automotive workplace.
The goal is to equip apprentices with the specialised skills needed to service, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems across a diverse range of two and three-wheeled vehicles. By the end of your training, you’ll have gained the practical skills in motorcycle dynamic control systems, service braking systems, basic electrical circuits, and vehicle wiring schematics.
It’s worth noting that there are government-subsidised funding programs and school-based apprenticeships across Queensland and New South Wales. Created for apprentices to focus on their professional training without the added burden of expenses, these fundings substantially lessen or entirely eliminate tuition fees. For the Cert 3 in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology, the applicable programs include:
Career Start (QLD): A government initiative that heavily subsidises or fully covers tuition fees for standard Certificate III trade apprenticeships.
EAT Program (NSW only): This program under NSW Smart and Skilled provides fee-free or government-subsidised training for registered state apprentices.

Our industry-current trainers will customise Apprentice Training Plans with students and employers in person. This helps employers properly plan for the training and keeps the apprentice on track.
