Apprenticeships Queensland has a host based in the Greenslopes area looking for an enthusiastic person wanting to do a Painting Apprenticeship.

Please note: To apply for this position you must have had some experience, have a reliable car and licence, and be willing to travel to sites.

Job Description: The role of apprentice painter encompasses a variety of tasks to be completed in a timely and efficient manner. Apprentice painter is required to: – Attend jobs to prepare the area for work (lay drop sheets, tape up windows etc.) and clean job site on completion or at the end of the day

– Prepare surfaces to a high standard (sanding, filling, caulking)

– Painting all surfaces in a variety of paint types (water, oil, clear, varnishes)

Qualifications:

• Skills- Strong communication skills to confidently explain information and converse with clients if required
• Takes pride in their work
• Is punctual and dedicated
• Showing initiative to tackle issues that may arise

Working Conditions – Working indoors and outdoors- Working at heights
