About the Role
Our Production Team are on the lookout for a Trade-Qualified or Highly Experienced Trades Assistant, to assume the role of Systems Quality Assurance Coordinator in our Stage 1 vessel construction area. This is fantastic opportunity for a highly disciplined individual, with meticulous attention to detail to join our talented team. This role would suit an electrician / mechanic who is looking for an opportunity to get off the tools and move toward a Supervisory position. We will provide extensive in-house training.
Fit Out 1
- Perform inline inspections and checks during vessel construction
- Audit and support contractor quality and report non-conformance
- Drive contractor QC accountability
- Increase level of systems completion
- Ensure vessel is built to customer build list specifications
- Provide feedback for subsequent review in future Fit Out 1 audits
- Drive continuous improvement
PD1
- Verify system installations are compliant with Riviera standards
- Verify contractor completion of all necessary testing
- Coordinate contractor rectification of PD1 audit non-compliance report
- Ensure vessel is built to customer build list specification
- Review all documentation and ensure vessel is complete for sign off and delivery
- Provide feedback for subsequent review in future PD1 audits
- Drive continuous improvement
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist production managers with quality and process improvement projects
- Attend relevant hand overs and audit QC documentation
- Quality document updates and improvements
- Support boat movements and safe docking procedures
- Regular housekeeping and general maintenance, as required
About You
- Experience in marine electrical, plumbing or mechanical systems, RV systems, or similar field
- Experience with marine operating systems
- High level of communication skills, written and verbal
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Proactive and resourceful approach to problem solving
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
- A strong understanding of safe work practices and workplace health and safety
- Demonstrated ability to work to strict deadlines and meet targets
- Basic competency with MS Office (Email, Excel, Word, etc)
