The City of Gold Coast (GCCC), one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing councils, requires a skilled and versatile workforce to meet the city’s infrastructure and public service demands. In response, Major Training Group developed a customized trenching course and delivered a comprehensive range of safety and operational training to GCCC staff, both onsite at GCCC facilities and at Major Training’s Yatala location.

Traffic Control and Load Restraint Training: Courses designed to enhance skills in managing traffic flow and securing loads safely, particularly in high-traffic urban environments.

Safety Certifications: Including Confined Spaces, Height Safety, Chainsaw Operation, Manual Handling, and White Card training to support a comprehensive safety culture.

Advanced Safety Courses: Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Low Voltage Rescue (LVR), and Work Health and Safety Representative (WHSR) training to foster leadership in safety management.

Each course was delivered with a practical focus, ensuring that GCCC staff were not only compliant but confident in their ability to perform safely and effectively.
