Do you have the right tickets for the equipment you are operating?
Major training has been advised by some clients we work closely with that WHS inspectors are out in force.
WHS inspectors have been out and about on various construction sites in and around Brisbane of late and workers onsite are being asked to provide their HRW licences for the activities they are performing.
Two workers from a particular company were using a 42m EWP onsite –
- One of the workers produced his licence for the EWP he was operating but was told that it was a yellow card and only good for machines that cannot go above 11m. He was fined $2160.00
- The other worker had told the inspector his card was at home and as such he was also given a fine.
Don’t get caught out being non-compliant.
Make sure you and the team are working safely and hold the relevant tickets for the machines you are operating.
If your licences are outdated, or you don’t have the correct licences to operate the equipment give us a call, or check out our high risk licensing courses and our plant operator tickets
