Women In Industry Program

Major Training is proud to announce our new course being launched on April 28th that is targeted at women.

The course will complete the RII20120 – Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation. Whilst other classes for this subject are available to everyone, this particular course is purely dedicated to helping women in the industry.

Major is proud to be all-inclusive RTO that encourages and supports people from all walks of life including indigenous, women, youth, refugees & the disadvantaged. This new course just amplifies this statement, proving that they are helping women get into the industry and learn the needed skills for their dream career.

Positions for this course are still available and Major Training are urging any women who want to work in the resources and infrastructure industry to apply. The course is fully subsidised for those who are eligible for funding. Classes for this course run 2 days a week for 9 weeks.

The best part is that this course is fully subsidised for those who are eligible for JobTrainer Funding. Check JobTrainer Eligibility requirements online.

This course will assist women getting employment in multiple industries. Some examples include:

  • Civil construction
  • Building and construction labourer
  • Small mine operators

With all the major projects and infrastructure that’s commencing, like the Brisbane Olympics and the light rail going into South-East QLD, civil construction jobs will be more readily available in QLD. Major Training wants to help women have the same opportunities for all of these new projects coming to QLD and assist in getting them into their chosen career path.
