We are pleased to announce that Erin Vanderreyden is the 2022 winner of the Dave Handyside Apprentice of the Year Award. Erin received this award after completing her Certificate 3 in Engineering Fabrication at Major Training, in partnership with Drake Trailers and Apprenticeships Queensland.
Erin started as a school based apprentice with Major in early 2018. After school, she started full time employment journey, whilst continuing with her studies to successfully complete her trade in 2022.
With this amazing achievement Erin is leading the way for future apprentices. She is helping to inspire other students to join or complete their apprenticeship. This inspiration is especially important for women and young girls who are also considering a role in a male-dominated industry.
Erin received this award for showing excellence in her trade and we are sure she will use the same excellence throughout her career. We wish her all the best and hope this achievement influences others to start an apprenticeship and strive for future success.
