Be proud and be remembered; two of our companies ethos statements here at Major Training which are today standing truer than ever as we celebrate our recent ten nominations in the 2023 Queensland Training Awards.
The prestigious Queensland Training Awards have been shining a spotlight on excellence in training and the transformative power of skills since 1962.
Across a range of categories, the annual awards recognise individuals and organisations that strive for and have achieved success, best practice and innovation in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) space.
We are proud to announce that Major Training Group was nominated as “Large Training Provider of the Year” this year in the coveted awards, along with four of our (VET) trainers, Mark Galea, Steven Smith, Brett Reid and Rhys Duncan who were nominated in the category of “VET Teacher of the Year”.
Four of our students Joseph Brown, Luke Bourke, Hayden Deal and Mathew Hallett were nominated for their excellence in the category of the “Harry Hausenchild Apprentice of the Year” and Darwin Santiago in the category of “Bob Marshman Trainee of the Year”.
“Our RTO is successful in large part due to the enthusiasm and overall care factor that our trainers have for their industry and Students, and we are very proud of our team’s nominations. Their efforts should be recognized, and the fact that they were even nominated is a tremendous achievement.” Corey Bowles – Major Training Groups General Manger.
This is a notable achievement and a nod of well-deserved recognition to be proud of and we would like to congratulate each and every one of our nominees. As we celebrate two nominees progressing onto the next stage of the awards, Mark Galea and Brett Reid, we will take time over the coming weeks to highlight each and every one of our hard working nominees who have contributed immeasurably to their field.
“Although I didn’t make it through to the next round, being recognised in your field through nomination is great confirmation that i am performing in my role. ” Steven Smith told us.
The final winners across all categories will be announced at the esteemed annual awards ceremony this year in September with a final date yet to be advised.
