Why Cover Both EWP Height Classes
The 11-metre line is a licensing boundary, not a job-site one. A worker ticketed only for the over-11m class cannot legally hop on a smaller scissor lift for a low-height task, and vice versa, even though both are common on the same job. Holding both tickets means whoever is available on the day can be put on whichever machine the task needs. Both EWP tickets fall under our High Risk Work Licence range, and covering the full height split in one enrolment is the more efficient way through it.
Who does this bundle suit? Operators who move between sites using different EWP classes, and employers who want flexibility to assign any ticketed worker to whichever machine a job requires, rather than matching people to machines by licence class.
For a student, holding only one EWP class means turning down whichever job needs the other machine, even on the same site the same week. Elevated work is not limited to EWPs either. Our scaffolding courses cover the structural side of working above ground, and operators who move between EWP and scaffold-access work often end up holding tickets across both categories over time.
For an employer, a worker ticketed across both height classes can be rostered onto whichever machine the job actually has on site that day, rather than sitting idle, or being sent home, because the only ticket they hold does not match the equipment rostered on for that job.
Both tickets are assessed across the same 3 day program at Yatala or Morayfield, rather than as two separate bookings weeks apart.
If your sites also run a blanket fall-prevention requirement, our Working Safely at Heights course covers that separately from either EWP ticket, and is worth checking before you assume both machine licences already have you fully covered for a site induction that asks for more than a machine ticket.
