This 1-day short course gives you confidence and peace of mind when working in tight spaces – ideal for builders, construction workers, electricians, plumbers, heating engineers, and gas testing.
The RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces qualification is a nationally recognised training course that covers core health and safety concepts of working in small areas, such as appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), gas test atmospheres and risks, emergency procedures, and confined space rescue. For those looking to further develop their workplace safety skills and advance their career, the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety provides additional knowledge and training in managing health and safety practices.

With a confined spaces ticket, you’ll have the skills to work safely in storage tanks, pressure vessels, boilers, pits, pipes, sewers, wells, shafts and ducts.
Course Details
A confined space course from Major Training includes both practical and theoretical assessments, ensuring you are well-equipped to work in enclosed or partially enclosed spaces held at atmospheric pressure during occupancy (but not designed to be primary worksites).
Upon successful completion of this course, you’ll receive a confined space ticket and can then legally and safely work within confined spaces. You’ll be able to take on more responsibilities and grow your employment potential.

What's INCLUDED:
Entry Requirements
- Be able to read and write basic English (Workplace Health and Safety requirement)
- Pass a language, literacy and numeracy assessment (LLN)
- Minimum 18 years of age (Workplace Health and Safety requirement)
- Provide two forms of identification
- Wear steel-capped or safety boots on site
- Sun protection is also recommended (e.g. hat, long-sleeved shirt and pants).
