Working at heights training from Major Training will give you the skills to proactively react to the risks of working at heights on job sites in building, construction, and mining.
Our working at heights course teaches you the selection, safe use, and maintenance of fall-arrest systems compatible with different job sites.
What's INCLUDED:
ENTRY Requirements
- Pass a language, literacy and numeracy assessment (LLN)
- Provide two forms of identification
- Wear steel-capped or safety boots on site
- Sun protection also recommended (hat, long-sleeved shirt and pants)
- Minimum 18 years of age (Workplace Health and Safety requirement) – applicable to full course only
- You may not be able to attend this course if you are pregnant or have a medical condition – applicable to full course only.

Work Safely At Heights
Duration: 1 day
- One-day course or blended delivery option (theory online and practical onsite)
- Fall risk and hazard assessment
- Selection of appropriate fall protection method
- Safe use and maintenance of fall-arrest systems
- Use of safety harnesses, horizontal lifelines and rails, associated lanyards, connectors, anchorages, and fittings
- Nationally recognized statement of attainment on successful completion.
Refresher Course
Duration: 4-6 hours
- Classroom-based delivery
- For existing licence holders close to expiry
- 4-6-hour course
- Fall risk and hazard assessment
- Selection of appropriate fall protection method
- Safe use and maintenance of fall-arrest systems
- Use of safety harnesses, horizontal lifelines and rails, associated lanyards, connectors anchorages and fittings
- Statement of attendance on successful completion (non-accredited).
