OVERVIEW
Reach new heights in your career with an EWP licence QLD from Major Training. Our EWP (over 11 metres) course enables you to apply for your high-risk work licence with WHS Queensland. With an EWP ticket, you’ll be qualified to safely and legally operate elevated work platforms across various industries. Major Training, located in Queensland, offers courses statewide, including in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.
Course Details
An elevating work platform (EWP) is a versatile device used to support a platform from which personnel, equipment, or materials can be elevated to perform various tasks. These platforms can be telescoping, hinged, articulated, or a combination of these mechanisms. Major Training Group’s EWP course comprehensively covers the skills required to operate boom-type elevating work platforms with a boom length of 11 metres or more.
An EWP licence is a nationally recognised qualification that equips you with specialist skills for safe operation across multiple trades, including building, construction, mining, forestry, and demolition. By obtaining your EWP licence over 11m, you enhance your qualifications, making you eligible for a broader range of employment opportunities or a new career path. The EWP ticket you earn upon completion signifies your proficiency in handling these high-risk tasks.
During this EWP course, you will receive formal logbook training and undergo assessments that are essential for applying for a High Risk Work Licence. You’ll learn to plan the work, conduct routine equipment checks, and efficiently set up, operate, shut down, and secure the elevating work platform, ensuring both safety and operational efficiency.
