Who is CSQ, and What is CSQ Funding?
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body that aims to support employees, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry. CSQ works to fund important courses and training to make it easier for tradesmen and their apprentices to upgrade their skills or their workers’ skills, opening up career opportunities in the construction industry.
Partnering with registered training organisations across Queensland – including us here at Major Training – CSQ covers up to 75% of training courses for tradies, employers and apprentices, with interesting pathways and options for apprentices in particular.
How Does CSQ Help Apprentices?
CSQ is committed to working alongside industry professionals to boost apprentice completion rates across Queensland. To do this, they have introduced the Apprentice Advance Loading program, which offers free additional training to eligible apprentices and trainees to boost their skills and career prospects.
Furthermore, CSQ offers a variety of resources to help trainees and apprentices seek out the best career opportunities in the construction industry.
Do I Qualify for CSQ Funding?
In order to meet CSQ funding eligibility, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- You must be working in the industry, or have been working in the last 4 years.
- You must be able to meet your employer’s minimum age requirement.
There is no upper age limit when it comes to CSQ funding eligibility.
