At Major Training, one of our cornerstone mottos is to “Make it Happen”. This was at the forefront of our minds when we got the call from enthusiastic and determined Nicolas Buchan. Nick had recently undertaken a Dirtbox experience at our Yatala site, having a play on our earth moving machinery and making light work of it. Nick quickly realised this is what he wanted to do as a possible career path and after talking to our trainer (also Nick) on the day, he was soon on the phone to book in to undertake his Front End Loader Ticket.
Although Nick has specialised needs, he has an unmatched determination and focus on making his dreams happen. Being encouraged in the supportive and inclusive environment of Major, he has worked hard and focused diligently on all safety and theory components of his ticket and showed skill and control when in the cab of his machine, passing his assessment and ticking off his first ticket on his long list “collecting tickets”.
