OVERVIEW
RIIMPO317F Conduct roller operations is a nationally recognised unit of competency that teaches workers how to safely and effectively operate a roller for compacting materials. The course covers key skills including pre-start checks, safe operating techniques, hazard identification, compaction procedures, machine shutdown and post-operation checks. Successful completion of the three-day program earns you the qualification to work as an operator.
All workers who operate a roller on the Gold Coast need a licence. It’s a legal requirement. Completing this course earns you your Gold Coast roller ticket, so you can use this machinery legally.
Completing your roller licence can also help improve your job prospects by demonstrating to employers that you’ve been trained and assessed as competent in roller operations. Taking the course is an investment in your future, as it can be valuable for roles across civil construction, roadworks, earthmoving, and infrastructure projects.
