OVERVIEW
Our Certificate III in Scaffolding gives you the skills to safely and efficiently erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding in residential and commercial construction. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we deliver nationally recognised training in Queensland and northern NSW.
Who is this course for? Anyone looking to become a scaffolder or work in a role that involves scaffolding (such as in the construction or civil construction industries). This course is ideal for young people, students, career starters, career switchers, experienced scaffolders, and mature-age apprentices.
This scaffolding qualification teaches you to read plans, design installations, perform measurements, work at heights, and apply compliance regulations.
Course Details
This Scaffolding Cert 3 is taught at one of our Queensland training facilities (such as in Brisbane or Cairns) or at your own job site. You’ll learn the fundamentals of scaffolding – including how to put up and take down scaffolding – as well as advanced techniques and tools.
Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll get a statement of attainment that proves your competencies in scaffolding tasks, allowing you to apply for your scaffolding licence and become a qualified scaffolder.
Within Queensland funding for this qualification is available for eligible students under:
- Career Start (General Training Pathway)
- Career Start (Traineeship Pathway)

Certificate III in Scaffolding – Career Pathways
Completing a Certificate in Scaffolding opens up career opportunities as a scaffolder, such as an Advanced Scaffolder or Scaffolding Supervisor. These roles involve assembling, dismantling, and inspecting scaffolding structures across construction, maintenance, and industrial sites.
But there are also many other careers you can do that don’t limit you to just scaffolding work, and there are diverse opportunities across sectors like engineering, logistics and supply chain, mining and energy, and offshore oil and gas.
