Rigging Licence

A License to Perform Rigging (Intermediate Level) qualifies individuals to undertake more complex rigging tasks, including the planning, selection, and supervision of lifting equipment and operations. Holders of this license have a deeper understanding of rigging principles and are authorised to oversee more intricate lifting operations.

Possible Roles

Advanced Rigger: As an advanced rigger, you'll manage complex rigging tasks that require in-depth planning, calculation of loads, and careful coordination. You'll oversee operations involving multiple lifting points, intricate loads, and specialised equipment.

Offshore Rigging Supervisor: Offshore rigging supervisors are crucial in the oil and gas industry. They manage the rigging and lifting activities on offshore platforms, ensuring that heavy equipment, machinery, and supplies are safely transported and positioned.

Event and Exhibition Rigging Manager: In the event and exhibition industry, you could work as a rigging manager, planning and overseeing the setup of complex structures, lighting, audio systems, and visual displays for large-scale events and exhibitions.

Construction Site Supervisor: In this role, you'll take on a leadership position, overseeing rigging operations on construction sites. You'll be responsible for coordinating rigging teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing the execution of lifting tasks.

Wind Turbine Rigger: With the growing wind energy sector, riggers specialising in wind turbine installations and maintenance are in demand. You'll be responsible for safely rigging components for assembly, maintenance, and repairs on wind turbines.

Heavy Industry Rigging Specialist: Industries such as manufacturing, steel, and heavy machinery production require rigging specialists to manage the movement of large and heavy equipment within industrial settings.

Potential wages could be in the region of $80,000 to $100,000 per year

Awesome!! After coming from TAFE the training is so much better.
Awesome!! After coming from TAFE the training is so much better. Smaller classes better and more knowledgeable teachers who care about the students and more flexible learning (being able to do most of the work from home). TAFE felt like it was just there to keep apprentices there for as long as possible (spending 8 hours to do 2 hours of work) but here it’s all based around the student, come in for the morning to to finish up units then go back to work for the rest of the day.
