Major Training’s bulldozing course is a nationally recognised unit of competency that’ll give you the skills to operate a dozer on a construction site or building site. It can lead to jobs in transport, mining and agriculture.

Entry Requirements
This dozer operator training is tailored for individuals currently working in or aspiring to enter the construction industry. To enrol in our dozer course and obtain your licence, students must meet the following requirements:
- Be able to read and write basic English
- Pass a language, literacy, and numeracy assessment (LLN)
- Be mechanically minded with an interest in operating heavy machinery
- Be a minimum of 16 years of age
- Provide two forms of identification
- Wear steel-capped or safety boots on site. Sun protection is also recommended (hat, long sleeves, and pants).
Dozer Ticket
A Dozer ticket, obtained through specialised training and certification, signifies proficiency in operating bulldozers—powerful heavy equipment designed for tasks like grading, leveling, and earthmoving. Possessing a bulldozer licence indicates expertise in precise maneuvering and efficient operation of these machines. Course Details
Three-Day Backhoe Course
Duration: 2 days training, 1 day assessment
Time: 6.30am to 3pm
This course is an intensive professional dozer operator training program based on competency and delivered in a controlled environment at Major Training’s high-quality simulated worksites.
The course offers:
- Everything you need to earn your dozer ticket from start to finish
- Three days of intense, competency-based training and assessment delivered by our knowledgeable team
- Intensive theoretical and practical training conducted in our classroom facilities over two days. The theory will be presented through videos, live demonstrations, and clear instructions by experienced trainers.
- One day of practical assessment at our facility where you will operate a dozer.
- A practical skills logbook for you to record your experiences during the course
- Courses run Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday from 6:30 am until 3.00 pm.
Students are trained to a level suitable to achieve all elements of the dozer competency. We offer exceptional trainers and assessors and quality training materials, including a logbook, training plan, full assessment, training manual, and heavy machinery for you to operate.
