OVERVIEW

Our front end loader course on the Gold Coast prepares you for construction work using this machinery. Our local Gold Coast training gives you the skills and confidence to operate this equipment on construction sites. It combines theory, practical training, and workplace safety.

By the end of the program (so when successfully completed), you’ll have gained the practical experience and safety knowledge needed to operate a front end loader in real work environments. By completing the nationally recognised unit of competency RIIMPO321F Conduct Civil Construction Wheeled Front End Loader Operations, you’ll receive a front end loader ticket on the Gold Coast.

A front end loader is a type of heavy machinery used for moving and loading materials. It’s a staple on construction and logistics sites across many earthmoving projects because with it, you can shift large amounts of heavy loads. It’s a great piece of machinery – but anyone who operates it is legally required to hold a front end loader licence, which is why you need this course.

Course Details

The RIIMPO321F Conduct Civil Construction Wheeled Front End Loader Operations course provides a straightforward pathway to operating a front end loader on the Gold Coast. This course offers a structured program with both practical demonstrations and classroom-based theory designed to give you a clear understanding of the requirements and expectations involved in front end loader driving.

A Gold Coast front end loader licence is valuable as it opens up opportunities in construction, transport, mining, resources, logistics, and agriculture. Tradies looking to advance their careers or employers looking to upskill their workers should book a front end loader ticket course. Enrol with us (a Registered Training Organisation), complete the unit of competency, and successfully finish your practical assessments.

Our front end loader ticket on the Gold Coast course lasts 2 days of training followed by 1 day of assessment. Training takes place in our Gold Coast facility, using a simulated work environment to give you hands-on experience operating a front end loader before starting the actual work.

Additionally, our training covers pre-operational inspections, safe operating techniques, earthmoving duties, WHS regulations and site safety, post-operative procedures, and machine maintenance as per Australian standards.

What's INCLUDED:

A training plan based on our earthmoving industry expertise

Practical training documented in a practical skills logbook

Front End Loader Ticket (Gold Coast) Career Pathways

A front end loader licence on the Gold Coast is your ticket to jobs in civil construction, roadworks, infrastructure, and earthmoving. Once certified, you’ll operate the machinery to move, load, and transport materials like soil, gravel, and debris. You’ll also contribute to keeping worksites organised, safe, and operating smoothly.

Possible Roles

Front End Loader Operator: This is the most common career path if you have a front end loader ticket. Gold Coast’s ongoing transport upgrades, including the Light Rail Stage 3 extension (a 6.7 km extension south of the existing tram network to link Broadbeach South and Burleigh Heads), create demand for front end loader operators. Residential developments and civil infrastructure projects across the region are also expected to keep the construction and civil industries busy.

Quarry and Mining Loader Operator: Loader operators handle bulk materials, manage stockpiles, and fill haul trucks with rock or ore. While large-scale mines are located in regional areas, the Gold Coast is home to many local quarries and serves as a major base for Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) mining workers. Getting your front end loader ticket here provides the necessary skills for both local civil infrastructure roles and regional resource jobs.

Waste Management and Recycling: Front end loader operators are also crucial to the Gold Coast’s ongoing sustainability programs, as well as future projects. In this sector, workers with a front end loader ticket are responsible for loading, sorting, and transporting recyclable materials, green waste, and other bulk materials to support efficient waste management operations.

Bulk Material Handling Specialist: The rising number of construction projects on the Gold Coast results in higher demand for bulk material handling specialists. Operators with front end loader tickets have the skills and efficiency to move large quantities of soil, gravel, and debris.

Port and Warehouse Loader: Front end loader operators are essential across major Gold Coast logistics hubs, such as the Yatala Enterprise Area and other industrial zones. In these centres, operators move bulk materials, manage large-scale commercial waste, and handle heavy cargo transfers between warehouses, recycling plants, and transport vehicles.

Batch Plant Operator: A batch plant operator role can also be a great fit if you have a front end loader ticket on the Gold Coast. The position is a mix of using computer software to mix concrete and operating a front end loader to manage yard stockpiles. If you’re interested in taking on technical and hands-on work, batch plant operator positions can offer stable employment across the region’s industrial hubs.

Potential wages could be in the region of $78,000 to $102,000 per year

Delivery Options

Awesome!! After coming from TAFE the training is so much better.
Awesome!! After coming from TAFE the training is so much better. Smaller classes better and more knowledgeable teachers who care about the students and more flexible learning (being able to do most of the work from home). TAFE felt like it was just there to keep apprentices there for as long as possible (spending 8 hours to do 2 hours of work) but here it’s all based around the student, come in for the morning to to finish up units then go back to work for the rest of the day.

I recently completed my Certificate III (online) through Major Training Group, and I had a wonderful experience.

My educator, Cathy Fendley, was absolutely fabulous. We had agreed-upon sessions once a week (and sometimes twice a week when needed), and she was always supportive, organised, and encouraging. Cathy helped me tremendously, especially with my case studies, making sure I fully understood the requirements and felt confident in my work.

She also went above and beyond by helping me find a placement closer to my location, which made a big difference for me. During my placement, she visited and gave me such a great morale boost — her support truly meant a lot.

I’m very grateful to have had Cathy as my teacher. She is a wonderful educator and a genuinely caring person. Highly recommend Major Training Group!

I had a fantastic experience with Major Training. Katrina was my trainer for both my EWP and Forklift courses, and she was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. She explains everything clearly and makes sure everyone feels confident and safe.
I also want to mention Thane. Even though he wasn’t my trainer, he was very friendly and always willing to help.
Great team, professional training, and a very welcoming environment. Highly recommended definitely more than 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Highly recommend this RTO! The trainers are extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and always happy to help whenever you need support. They genuinely care about your learning and make sure you understand the material, not just pass the course.

They also create a great environment with things like regular BBQs, which makes it a welcoming and supportive place to study. It’s clear they put real effort into looking after their students and building a strong community.

If you’re considering training here, you won’t regret it.

Highly recommend Major training. I cannot express how much it was a pleasure to be educated and trained by my highly experienced assessor CARL BERRY for helping me complete my C6 Crane ticket. It's alot of theory work and alot of maths and also practical about the Crane as I've had no experience. Carl Berry gave not just me but the other pupils in the classroom the time and the patience to help us to complete and accomplish this course. I'm not gonna lie it is very hard but with the right training studying and perseverance it was all well worth it. Thank you so much Carl for all your hard work and keep it mate. I really do appreciate what you have done for me. And last but not least thank you Major training for having me as a student at your facility.

I can't recommend Paul from Major Training highly enough! He was an incredible instructor who supported me every step of the way in obtaining my HR licence. After failing my first test due to nerves, I was feeling pretty discouraged. However, Paul’s patience, understanding, and encouragement made all the difference.

He took the time to go over everything thoroughly, helping me rebuild my confidence and fine-tune my skills. His calm demeanor helped ease my anxiety. Thanks to Paul’s support, I was able to pass my test.

Thank you Paul, I appreciate the help to better my life!
