The fabrication bay at Oly Homes, on the Sunshine Coast, runs to the beat of grinders and the quiet arc of a welding torch tracing steel, all of which is sheltered from the weather outside.
Every modular home is built in a controlled factory environment, without the need to delay projects because of bad weather.
Design, engineering, fabrication and construction takes place in a controlled space, a process that ensures Oly Homes consistent quality over that last 50-years.
Oly Homes has now delivered more than 2,200 modular homes, showcasing an impressive feat of production.

Cameron Labinsky began his apprenticeship in June 2022.
After four years of progressively developing his skills and responsibilities, he completed the MEM31925 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade through Major Training in June 2026.
Onsite training meant Cameron spent less time away from the workplace and more time turning coursework straight into practice, allowing Major Training to guide Cameron’s apprenticeship from the factory floor itself.
Oly Homes General Manager Steven Nousala said the onsite training was just as beneficial for the trainer to be able to tailor training to the equipment, processes and the type of fabrication work involved in modular construction.
“This helped connect the formal qualification requirement with Cameron’s day-today responsibilities,” Mr Nousala said.
He progressed from foundational tasks under close supervision to running the final quality checks in the welding bay himself.
“When a business provides the right support and training, the result can be a capable and loyal tradesperson who understands the organisation’s quality standards, safety expectations and production processes from the ground up,” Mr Nousala said.
The success of that approach is evident in Oly Homes’ award-winning projects, with the company receiving HIA, Master Builders and PrefabAUS recognition for excellence and innovation across a range of residential, steel-frame, community and modular housing categories.
To meet growing demand and support its continued expansion, a new purpose-built manufacturing facility in Corbould Park is taking shape, which is set to double annual production capacity, while creating around 70 new jobs.
