What is a Capstone readiness test? Our Capstone practice program is a non-accredited course designed to refresh and extend the practical and theoretical knowledge relevant to the Capstone component of the Certificate III in Electrotechnology qualification.
Over 5 days, you will work using Capstone boards in a safe, simulated environment to prepare you for your Capstone tests – the final exams in your electrical apprenticeship. You’ll build confidence, accuracy, knowledge, and speed before your formal assessment in everything relating to the units:
- UEENEEG105A Verify compliance and functionality of low voltage general electrical installations
- UEEEL0039 Design, install, and verify compliance and functionality of general electrical installations

Who is this Capstone readiness test for? This program is ideal for students who want a structured readiness check and additional hands-on practice prior to attempting their Capstone.
This Capstone course is aimed at students who:
- are completing their Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
- need to sit the Capstone as their final step to become qualified and receive their trade certificate.
- want to complete a practice course before attempting the electrical Capstone assessment.
- are preparing to sit their Capstone within 3 months of their Capstone readiness course.
You’ll learn theory and compliance alongside practical assessments in preparation for your Capstone course and electrical licence, covering key skills like fault finding, electrical safety, testing, and compliance with Australian standards and Queensland regulations.
Successfully completing the course gives you the knowledge required to pass your Capstone assessment as part of your electrician apprenticeship.

Capstone Readiness
This Capstone readiness course is designed to prepare electrical apprentices for their Capstone tests as part of the Electrotechnology Cert III. Across the 5 days, you’ll get practical training from our expert assessors on Capstone principles and concepts. You’ll also sit practice theory exams, which include multiple choice questions and written tasks covering Australian standards, wiring rules (AS/NZS 3000), electrical theory, and safety practices.

Potential wages could be in the region of $70,000 to $80,000 per year or around $38 per hour
