Celebrating Major Training’s Role in the 2024 Brisbane Convoy for Kids
The past weekend was one to remember as Major Training joined the 2024 Brisbane Convoy for Kids, bringing together community, industry, and purpose. Contributing five of our trucks to this 1,000-vehicle convoy, we proudly rolled from Larapinta to Redcliffe, covering a scenic 65-kilometer stretch along the Logan and Gateway motorways. It was a remarkable sight, not just for the thrill of the road but for a deeply meaningful cause.
The convoy’s journey culminated at the Redcliffe Showgrounds, where festivities continued with a family-friendly truck show, live music, fireworks and activities for all ages. For us at Major Training, participating in the convoy means more than just showcasing our fleet; it’s about connecting with our community, bonding with industry peers and rallying together to support a cause close to our hearts.
Special thanks go out to our dedicated driver training team—Taffy, Jack, Mike, Paul and Ash—along with our training delivery coordinator, Jules, for their commitment. Your enthusiasm on and off the road embodies the spirit of Major Training, and we’re immensely proud to have you representing us.
With sponsorship from Transurban, the Brisbane Convoy for Kids raises essential funds for Hummingbird House Brisbane, Queensland’s only children’s hospice. Supporting Hummingbird House’s vital work is a privilege, and we’re reminded of the powerful role the transport industry plays in Queensland.
To everyone who joined us, cheered from the sidelines, or shared the road—thank you for being part of this special day. Together, we’re making a difference for Queensland families, celebrating our industry and driving change that matters.
