Course Details

Holding an intermediate scaffolding licence enables you to safely construct the appropriate working platforms for various construction sites and industrial projects. Your intermediate scaffolding ticket ensures you receive the training necessary to understand your responsibilities when building these work platforms.

Our scaffolding training is structured in three levels, each of which must be completed before progressing to the next:

  • Basic Scaffolding: This beginner course introduces the roles and responsibilities of a basic scaffolder. It covers preparation and planning, equipment inspection, the use of a safety harness, and the construction, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding.
  • Intermediate Scaffolding: Building on the skills acquired in the basic scaffolding course, this intermediate scaffolding course introduces more advanced techniques such as sloping platform construction, spur construction, and lashing of planks. Completing this course will enhance your abilities and earn you an intermediate scaffolding ticket.
  • Advanced Scaffolding: After completing the intermediate level, this advanced course covers more complex tasks, including hung scaffolding construction, fixing FSWR (Flexible Steel Wire Rope), and fixing support chains.

Major Training Group offers extensive expertise, stemming from their long-standing history as a family-owned business providing plant and transport services to major infrastructure projects. Awesome!! After coming from TAFE the training is so much better.
Awesome!! After coming from TAFE the training is so much better. Smaller classes better and more knowledgeable teachers who care about the students and more flexible learning (being able to do most of the work from home). TAFE felt like it was just there to keep apprentices there for as long as possible (spending 8 hours to do 2 hours of work) but here it’s all based around the student, come in for the morning to to finish up units then go back to work for the rest of the day.

Would definitely recommend to others
The staff were very friendly, trainer Carl made it very easy to learn what was needed and helped when I was struggling. Crane operator pat was very kind and made it easy to do the lifts. Amazing operator. Would definitely recommend to others and will be coming back to learn other skills. 👍
